An update to the instructions for the H-K T-60 turntable upgrade project detailed
in 12/85. The new instructions work with recent variations in the H-K power
supply card.
The power supply mod involves removing the transformer and diode bridge and installing them into a stand alone box. This mod removes micro vibrations resulting in a blacker background, the added capacitors improve the speed stability. I have found listening with the Quartz Lock off improves the sound.
The next two photos show the new outboard power supply. It won't win any beauty contest, but it works and sounds great!
